About Song Ranking
Do you Like It?
Songladder rankings are based on listener feedback.
Songs that are well-liked will climb the charts.
We prompt listeners to give feedback while listening.
We collect data based on the answer to one simple question:
'Do you Like It?'
Natural Feedback
We promote songs that receive 'Natural' feedback from a variety of sources. If a listener's opinion appears to be biased or phony, we ignore it.
So, if one passionate fan votes for a song repeatedly it will not affect our charts.
If you are a mother who is looking to boost the rating for your son's band, it won't work!
Three Scoring Categories
There are almost one hundred details that our system considers when building scores.
Ultimately these details become scores that are aggregated into one of the three following scoring categories:
- Quality - A measure of how well-liked a song is by our listening audience.
- Exposure - A measure of how many people have listened to a song.
- Integrity - A measure of how 'real' the feedback is. If the feedback is fraudulent or fabricated the integrity score will be low.
